I’m Jennie, creator and owner of Daisy’s Little Bake House.
I have always had a sweet tooth and enjoyed baking at home. Growing up my Grandmother Daisy would make all the cakes for our birthdays and special occasions. I would always look forward to her desserts or the birthday cakes she would make for our parties. She didn’t have any fancy equipment; just a small kitchen where she baked from scratch all the delicious treats she made. She enjoyed baking and I like to think her passion for baking has been passed down to me.
After obtaining my degree in International Hospitality Management from Surrey University in England, I got married and moved to Perth. Only after having my first child did I truly discover my talent for baking. It started as a family activity and creative outlet, but soon turned into me creating cakes and cupcakes for extended family and friends.
Since then I have spent time practising and perfecting my craft and am proud to be producing some of the best quality cakes in Perth. (I have also added three more children to the pack!) Despite being a busy mum I always find time for baking, its my passion and I’m addicted to it! Even when I’m supposed to be on holiday or maternity leave I can’t stop tinkering in the kitchen.
I am proud that I never use artificial flavours or additives in our cakes and I bake only using the best ingredients available. The cakes are baked from scratch in my council registered kitchen, filled, layered, piped and decorated by hand. Each cake is a piece of art and I’m passionate about what I do. I enjoy getting to know each and every customer I bake for; and treat their cakes like one I would make for my own family. Its the way my Grandmother did it and this is after all, Daisy’s Little Bake House.
